Levitra Soft

Levitra Soft is a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). It belongs to a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors (PDE5 inhibitors), which are used to treat conditions such as pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Levitra Soft is manufactured by Bayer AG and was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2003.

Levitra Soft is a PDE5 inhibitor. PDE5 inhibitors are drugs that block the degradative action of an enzyme called PDE5. PDE5 is found in the smooth muscle cells of the blood vessels that supply the corpus cavernosum, the erectile tissue of the penis. When PDE5 is blocked, the smooth muscle cells relax and the blood vessels dilate, resulting in increased blood flow to the corpus cavernosum and an erection.

Levitra Soft is available in tablets of 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg. The recommended starting dose is 10 mg. The maximum recommended dose is 20 mg.

Levitra Soft can be taken with or without food. It should be taken about 25-60 minutes before sexual activity.

Levitra Soft can cause side effects. The most common side effects are headache, flushing, stuffy or runny nose, indigestion, upset stomach, and dizziness. These side effects are usually mild and go away within a few hours.
