Viagra Plus

Viagra Plus is a medication that is used to treat erectile dysfunction in men. It is a PDE5 inhibitor that works by relaxing the muscles and increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. Viagra Plus is available in both brand and generic form. The generic form is cheaper and just as effective as the brand version.

Viagra Plus (sildenafil) is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. It works by relaxing the blood vessels in your penis, which allows more blood to enter during sexual arousal. Viagra Plus is used to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence) in men. Viagra Plus may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Viagra Plus is available in tablet form in three strengths: 25 mg, 50 mg, and 100 mg. The recommended starting dose is 50 mg. Depending on how well it works and whether you experience any side effects, your healthcare provider may increase or decrease your Viagra Plus dose.

Viagra Plus should be taken about 30-60 minutes before sexual activity. You should not take more than one dose in a 24-hour period. Viagra Plus can be taken with or without food. If you take Viagra Plus with a high-fat meal, it may take a little longer for the medication to start working.

Some common side effects of Viagra Plus include headache, flushing, upset stomach, and nasal congestion. Viagra Plus can also cause dizziness. You should not drink alcohol while taking Viagra Plus, as it can increase the risk of side effects. Viagra Plus is not recommended for use in women or children.

Before taking Viagra Plus, tell your healthcare provider if you have or have ever had:

• heart disease or a heart rhythm disorder
• a heart attack or stroke
• high or low blood pressure
• pulmonary hypertension
• kidney disease
• liver disease
• bleeding disorders
• blood cell disorders
• a bleeding disorder such as hemophilia
• a blood cell disorder such as sickle cell anemia
• stomach ulcers
• retinitis pigmentosa (an inherited condition of the eye)
• a physical deformity of the penis (such as Peyronie's disease)
• if you have ever been advised by a healthcare provider to avoid sexual activity for medical reasons

Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Viagra Plus and other medicines may affect each other. Especially tell your healthcare provider if you take any of the following:

• nitrates for chest pain
• alpha-blockers for blood pressure or prostate problems
• HIV protease inhibitors
• certain antibiotics such as clarithromycin, erythromycin, or troleandomycin
• other medicines for erectile dysfunction
• rifampin or rifabutin

Know the medicines you take. Keep a list of them and show it to your healthcare provider and pharmacist when you get a new medicine.
