Viagra Professional
Viagra Professional is a new generation extra-strength prescription medicine that is taken orally for the treatment of erectile dysfunction only in men, powerfully activating the natural blood flow, followed by hardness and expansion of your sexually excited penis for peak sexual performance.
Viagra Professional may also be used for other purposes not listed above.
Important information

Viagra Professional can help you have an erection when sexual stimulation occurs. An erection will not occur just by taking a pill.
Do not take Viagra Professional more than once a day. Allow 24 hours to pass between doses.
Contact your doctor or seek emergency medical attention if your erection is painful or lasts longer than 4 hours. A prolonged erection (priapism) can damage the penis.
Viagra Professional can decrease blood flow to the optic nerve of the eye, causing sudden vision loss. This has occurred in a small number of people, most of whom also had heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or certain pre-existing eye problems, and in those who smoked or were over 50 years old.
It is not clear whether Viagra Professional is the actual cause of vision loss. Stop taking Viagra Professional and call your doctor at once if you have sudden vision loss.
Before you take Viagra Professional, tell your doctor if you have ever had:
- heart disease or heart rhythm problems;
- a recent history (in the past 6 months) of a heart attack, stroke, or congestive heart failure;
- coronary artery disease;
- angina (chest pain), high or low blood pressure;
- pulmonary hypertension (unless you are also taking Revatio);
- a heart valve problem called mitral valve prolapse;
- kidney disease;
- liver disease;
- a blood cell disorder such as sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, or leukemia;
- a bleeding disorder such as hemophilia;
- a stomach ulcer;
- retinitis pigmentosa (an inherited condition of the eye);
- a physical deformity of the penis (such as Peyronie's disease); or
- if you have been told you should not have sexual intercourse for health reasons.
Viagra Professional may also cause other side effects. Call your doctor if you have any unusual problems while taking this medication.
How should I take Viagra Professional?
Take Viagra Professional exactly as it was prescribed for you.

Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
Side effects
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Call your doctor at once if you have:
- ringing in your ears, or sudden hearing loss;
- chest pain, irregular heartbeat, feeling short of breath;
- pain, swelling, warmth, or redness in one or both legs;
- a light-headed feeling, like you might pass out;
- vision changes or sudden vision loss;
- sweating, confusion, anxiety, seizure (convulsions); or
- a prolonged erection (priapism) that can damage the penis.
Common Viagra Professional side effects may include:
- flushing (warmth, redness, or tingly feeling);
- headache, dizziness;
- abnormal vision (blurred vision, changes in color vision)
- runny or stuffy nose, nosebleeds;
- sleep problems (insomnia);
- muscle pain, back pain; or
- upset stomach.

Viagra Professional dosing information
Usual Adult Dose for Erectile Dysfunction:
- Initial dose: 50 mg orally once a day, as needed, 1 hour prior to sexual activity
- Maintenance: 25 to 100 mg orally once a day, as needed, 1 hour prior to sexual activity
- Maximum dose: 100 mg orally once a day
Comments:
- This drug may be taken anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours before sexual activity.
